My point about the key fobs is that these are items being sold to poorer people who dream about owning the Chanel gold earrings, but laid out $100 for a $10 item with a logo. Is there value in that? Maybe. I dunno.

Growing the economy is important if the population is growing, as it is in the US. In a free market, people should generally be free to waste their money as they see fit. Though they should be protected from con artists and dangerous products.
