This. Being outdoors is typically very low risk since the vast majority of time you have plenty of room to space out. It’s when you’re in an area packed tight like sardines for an extended period that outdoor transmission becomes a significant risk. Throw in some cheering and yelling and…

Also, with regards to the Portland protesters, three important points:

1. Most all wore masks
2. Very few stayed in one place for a prolonged period of time
3. They did a good job of keeping distance from one another.
