I tend to agree with you…BOs role was minimal other than ‘go for it’…not an historic decision or whatever…no big deal

From what I understand the Navy was to act if the captain’s life was in “imminent” danger. That gives the brass wide latitude n’est-ce pas? All depends on what the admiral in charge sees as imminent danger.
