Question for golfers. What is your opinion on indoor putting greens? I’m trying to keep my dad (mid 80s) entertained from the other side of the country. I’m west coast. He’s east coast. He took up golf in his retirement, and I’m thinking of sending him an indoor putting green. What say the golfing lizards?

It’s going to be pretty much that you get what you pay for. I haven’t golfed in a number of years, but had a cheap one. It was little more than a 3’ wide, 12’ long length of very thin short grain material leading to a foam raised area (about 3’ x 2’) that had the hole to aim for. I got better practice in my opinion putting at a cup on the carpet most of the time since it provided better variety.

There was an additional challenge as well that I did not find on the golf course.
