I’m sure that they know what’s going on in Gaza with pretty good accuracy. That’s how they get to stay in power - via informants, snitches, and thugs looking all over for collaborators and Israeli spies who are trying to figure out what Hamas is up to.

While they’re spinning this as a bust of a group looking to free Shalit by capturing high level Hamas thugs, it could also be an internecine struggle against other gangs or terror cells operating in Gaza that threaten Hamas’ power structure. It wouldn’t be the first time either.

I was especially impressed by the Hamas claim that Operation Cast Lead itself was just another failed attempt to locate Shalit.
