Perspective? Let’s apply that to 9/11? The consequences of the actions were what kind of reaction? Multiple wars, thousands of Americans killed in combat, 3k dead in the initial attacks, but thousands more dead of 9/11 related illnesses, trillions of dollars spent, and we botched both Iraq and Afghanistan in the process. Overreaction? Nope. Not among the right wingers who backed those wars and actions.

Or let’s go the other way—since people die and shit happens, let’s remove every safety feature on all cars. Let’s take down all traffic signs and traffic lights. Remove all warnings on drugs and the like. Fuck, I mean just die, right? So let’s not do anything to prevent deaths.

I mean if we can’t protect everyone, might as well not protect anyone, amirite?
