If Ryan lifts the Hastert “rule”, we would see actual gun reform and meaningful improvements to the lives of millions.

The Hastert rule essentially means that we’ve got a tyranny of the minority - a majority of Congress might want a certain outcome, but a minority within the GOP want to control the outcomes so they prevent any action at all.

It’s the NRA strategy writ large.

The Hastert “rule” — implemented by a pedophile.

But even ignoring Hastert, thanks to gerrymandering, voter suppression, and the Constitution (think Electoral College and the Senate) our government is a tyranny of the minority.
