re: #485 HappyWarrior
I was thinking of her when I used a line the other day in the story I’m writing for class(I’m writing a story from a British officer disillusioned in the middle of the first world war), anyhow I talk about how the only time the protagonist remembers his father shedding a tear was when Victoria died. I imagine even some British republicans will be saddened when Elizabeth goes. She’s an icon and frankly as much as I dislike royalty, I’m glad the Brits got her father and thus her instead of her uncle the idiotic Nazi.
I HAVE TO respect anyone who suits up and shows up for work everyday. Her life has been so regimented and she continues on 50-60-70+ years. doing her duty.
I think we will miss her when she goes.
