The real fun is going to be the drive south afterward, along with all the rest of CA that’s trekking up to OR for this.

I decided I am going to skip the totality this year, and just go down to visit with fishfolk and enjoy the 89% partial that they will have (as long as it is not cloudy… grrr) In April 2024, there is another eclipse where my parents’ house lies just inside the edge of totality, which will be a much better opportunity for my kids and I to see it.
