I’m trying to think of a liquor that even looks that dark?

A dark rum. I’ve also seen some very dark dessert wines, but the thing is that the black shirt behind the glass means it’s going to look dark regardless.

Or with the amount of liquid in the glass, probably a whatever-and-cola. I’m fond of tequila-and-coke myself.
