thanks for doing the research. Confederation makes each state it’s own feifdom —IIRC.

It’s the basis of the “state’s rights” nonsense now, as if 50 states + DC + Commonwealth and territories could operate independently while still maintaining a cohesive nation. We can barely operate as one unit now.
