OK, I have a stupid question. These guys keep saying the Earth, etc., is 6000 years old. If it’s now 2009 AD shouldn’t that be 8,009 years old?

Why is it that the date remains static? You ever notice that it’s been 6000 years old for the past 100 years but that number never budges?
