Apparently one of the newer efforts by wingnuts to remove any responsibility for Dear’s actions from themselves is to point to a single line from a WaPo story on the shooting, where neighbors say they never heard him talk about religion or abortion, as proof that he was not motivated by either.

This from the same crowd who A) swore up and down that a lone nut who shot two cops meant BLM had “blood on their hands” because he was motivated by their anti-cop rhetoric and B) likewise swore up and down that Dylann Roof couldn’t be a racist because his roommate said he’d never heard Roof say anything he considered racist.
