I seem to recall a religious leader who said some similar things about 2000 years ago…

His teachings emphasized doing rather than believing too but after one of his early followers wrote it up poorly, that got flipped in too many peoples minds…

Feed the hungry, cloth the naked, warm the cold, heal the`sick, help the prisoner, do justly, love mercy, walk humbly, give Caesar what is his but otherwise ignore him, love your enemy & your neighbor, & do to everyone what you’d have them do to you. Not really that difficult to understand.
