Thomas Nast’s cartoons of the Irish could have drawn by Ben Garrison.

Except that Nast could draw (a lot) better.

And I’m sure if the Irish did something to piss the RWNJs off, Garrison would be quick to revive the beetle-browed, slack-jawed “bogtrotter” caricature in a second…..
