I still don’t understand why anyone is using rando drop boxes in California. Take it to the damn County Registrar office and drop it off there, or at least to boxes that are on state or county government property that can’t be accessed off-hours. Even before Trump was a thing that’s what I did.

Well, in my case, the County Registrar’s office is a 45 minute round trip and I put my ballot in a drop box in a location so boring that the library next door just puts the books you request out on a table for you to pick up during the 15 minute window you select. So far as I know no one has stolen any of those. Also, with ballot tracking I know the county got it.
