Maybe, but I can’t remember any politician in modern US politics who had won the loyalty of the …I would say “base” as opposed to fringe,,, as Palin did. With Obama, for example the loyalty wasn’t deep and can be explained: Who really loved Obama? Blacks for obvious historical reasons, and “elite” university types - because they spoke the same language. But how many of those elites are there? As far as four more years, who knows? Obama may go up and down ten times between now and 2012. I think as usual, the economy will answer this question.
