I moved around a lot as a kid. I hated it but there were a lot of great adventures. I’m content to stay put now.

It runs through my head for weeks when I’m moving to a new town, which I’ve done five times as an adult. The most adventurous move, though, was when I was 6, my Dad moved us from Wisconsin to California. He drove the cars and brought my 8 year old brother, with the station wagon towing the VW bug, and my Mom flew with me and my younger brother and sister. My Dad was so brave. He didn’t have a job lined up first. This was 1963. Three more kids were born in California.
