I don’t know. AGs tend to want to become governors or senators. And I’m not sure indicting a president and causing a constitutional crisis is the best route to get there.

In some states it would be. A Texas AG would definitely do it, and make it the centerpiece of his gubernatorial campaign. Don’t underestimate how radical the GOP has become.
