I’d really like to know the economy’s influence on the number of people wearing shorts instead of long pants in the 10 major cities. I could compile stats about the number of people wearing shorts on Oct. 27 and infer from the numbers a correlation between shorts and economy. However if I don’t adjust the numbers for the actual air temperature in each city on that date, I’m getting useless numbers.

That type of unrealistic information is what we get hit with from the media when they report stats.

I always wear long pants, but I also know that FVB prefers to wear no pants.
