Late last night my Dad wanted to send a large letter with some docs in it to our cousin in Tacoma, and went with me to the Post Office. Then he wanted to go to Albertsons and … it was fucking stressful. It was late so there weren’t that many people but none of them seemed to be reacting, paying attention to his age or trying to keep distance. He’s also 81, has had a ton of spinal surgeries, barely feels his feet anymore, has a reconstructed femur and a five way bypass. So the entire fucking event felt like some kind of horror themed first person video game escort mission except, y’know, real fucking life. After we got back I didn’t notice that he took my wallet inside so I had a nice little 10 second panic attack over thinking I’d left it at the store.

Anyway, pretty sure my hair is going to go seriously goddamned grey over the next eighteen months. Called off all my shit for today, staying in, napping and trying to relax.
