I’ve been off of work this week (woot) so I went out to fix mom’s golf cart headlights (replaced the switch and fixed some loose wiring). Also I trained 3 new people at work last week and bought donuts on Friday for the dudes, but one of them did not eat them and it occurred to me that he might be observing Ramadan. I hope it wasn’t too uncomfortable for the guy. Also my stove has been taken over by ants. I for one am not too happy about my new overlords and do not wish to toil in their sugarcaves. They walk around the ant traps like they aren’t there. I need an ant nuke.

NPR had a piece on Muslim food workers and Ramadan. One of them said something to the effect that it was actually good to work feeding others because it let him reflect more on his fast. None of them objected to other people eating in their presence. It is presumably harder to fast here than in a Muslim country where everyone is fasting, but I assume they adjust.
