The Fairy Tale of the NAACP, by the Grim Brothers of Freeperville

Once upon a time there was a beautiful country called the United States of Amnesia. Everyone who came to live there immediately forgot all his quarrels with other kinds of people, and the whole land lived in peace and harmony. Their motto was “all men (and women, obviously) are created equal”. And everyone was welcome to come and live in this glorious land. Poles, Germans, Irish, Jews, Muslims, and especially black people from Africa, who were highly prized for their willingness to work hard for next to nothing.

Then, one day, a couple of evil people noticed that people weren’t noticing any differences in skin color or facial features, and they thought that was bad, because they wanted to be noticed for those things. So they founded a wicked organization to force people to notice! And, sadly, that great, happy land has never stopped noticing since, and it’s not all that happy anymore.
