Now they’ve quietly updated their article to change the quote, without any explanation given whatsoever.

Is Rothwell such a terrible journalist that he mistook “rang me up” with “came out with” in a direct quote? The first version would seem to imply direct collusion between James Comey and the Trump Campaign, the second version utterly removes that without any notice that the article was changed at all.

The fucked up thing is that given the behavior of both the FBI and the modern press I find both explanations equally plausible at this point.
