The overall theme of social media is growth leads to deficits, deficits leads to seeking corporate money, and corporate money leads to commercialization. Twitter, Facebook, Google, the list goes on and on. All these started out with noble intentions and goals, but the need to secure funding for what were effectively “free” services led to greed and corruption.
