When my son was born at home in Virginia Beach, I called the editor of the Virginian-Pilot & Ledger-Star and asked them to run his birth in the newborns column. All they said was “we’ll have to put his birth under ‘at home, is that okay?’” It didn’t cost anything.

Does this guy know anything at all? How does he think his childrens’ birth announcements got in the paper?
