Since they explicitly declare that the graphic is an illustration, rather than an outright photo, it is not altogether accurate to write that the article was run “alongside a doctored photo of Kagan in a turban…”, text that suggests that the Washington Times presented the image as an authentic record of a real event. Which they didn’t.
