Jerusalem has attracted delusional populists for millennia. It is part of the aura of the place. Beck is no different. Beck will come and he will go and the Israelis will remain focused on the “tent” protests and the existential threat posed by Iran and its other enemies.
As for the Trojan Horse analogy, it doesn’t, IMHO, fit. The mythical Trojan Horse was intended as a means of destroying Troy from within. I don’t think Beck intends more than to show support fo Israel at a time when it is besieged and facing major challenges in the international arena. He does so imperfectly through divisive verbiage because he simply cannot help himself; that is who he is. But he is not likely to have any lasting impact on Israeli society, much less destroy it from within.
