You hear shit when people don’t realize you’re part of a group, or used to be.

My black or Asian Jewish friends hear anti-Semitic crap all the time that people will say because they don’t ‘look Jewish’.

Woman I used to work with was witness to an amazing rant about black students in our district and ‘political correctness’ because the bigot speaking didn’t realize she was black.

I do have to say though that most men who say shit like the above don’t actually tone it down much in the presence of ladies.
