One thing I notice from the list of attending countries is that the majority of those nations’ terrorism attacks are of the domestic variety, from a fairly wide variety of sources, whether it be drug/organized crime cartels, nationalist groups, civil war strife, or religious/political infighting versus exported attacks via “state-sponsored” organizations. Al Qaeda and affiliated groups are a serious issue worldwide, but for several of those attendees, their activities only consist of a minor fraction of their total annual incidents.
