Some of it sounds like projection to me. You just need to add a few words in brackets like this:

“I’m afraid that minorities will won’t consider my people human [just like I don’t consider them human]”
“I’m afraid that minorities will be greedy and plot against us [just like I’m greedy and plot against them]”

Etc. They’d have to be better people to be able to imagine that others are better people.

There’s also some fear of payback. And let’s face it, people being people there’d be more than a couple who would seek that payback. Unfortunately for the right it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. The harder you fight the more likely it happens.
