Here is an article about Henderson and the boundary between TX and OK where his land is. There is mention of the case at the end. Evidently he bought some acreage which was later determined to be actually property of the federal government, but still owed on the mortgage he took out to buy it. Sounds like a bad deal for him-and perhaps he should have gone after (legally, that is) whomever sold it to him. Perhaps the original owner homesteaded it and then sold it in good faith?
