Frankly this sounds like more of the same MBF shit we’ve been hearing from the alt left, normalizing Trump and his bigots, and claiming that nothing has changed with his election, when we can see that the incidence of attacks and open bigotry has gone way up.

On the question of a Chinese student’s safety, I’d suggest that they should pay attention to what school they choose, but there are plenty of areas where they’d be as safe as they were before. (Crime is not nonexistent anywhere, and there are bigots everywhere too, but I think they’ll be no less safe today than they were before Trump in, e.g. Northern California.)
