Saw that, could be the reason, just seems strange to me coming from any kind of football (American, Soccer, etc) where even a wee bit outside is like being a wee bit pregnant.

Plus, baseball diamonds are not uniform. They’re all built differently with weird twists. Fenway Park (where this catch took place at) is one of the oldest surviving ballparks, and it has features not found anywhere else. (To wit, Progressive Field in Cleveland has a mini version of the “Green Monster” center field wall.)
