Yup, but we haven’t even begun to feel that effect yet, except for the appointed executive (non-civil service) leadership positions. The guys who wanted to goon the border have been there, on average, for half a career. Now the bad ones just feel they will be tolerated and rewarded for acting-out.

I recall reading that a number of key State Department jobs are remaining unfilled. Trump really made a comment to the effect that that was fine, those are just superfluous government jobs.
