Tomorrow is NY primary day! The race here in the 2nd District of LI is between Presiding Officer in the Suffolk County Legislature DuWayne Gregory and businesswoman and activist Liuba Grechen Shirley. Tough choice. Both seem like they’d do a good job in the House.

I’m leaning towards Liuba, simply because I look at how the men in Congress have screwed shit up and I’m inclined to hand the keys to a woman for a change.

Well, there are a few women who can screw things up as well (Michele Bachmann, Marsha Blackburn, &c). “Woman” is not my consideration, “most liberal available” is.

That said, there is a reason there are far more women in the Democratic Caucus.
