As Anymouse already noted, red voters were also “energized” in 2018, so much so that they surpassed the 2016 turnout. Problem was that the anti-Trump vote was so much higher that even increased wingnut turnout did not save their asses. And that was an election where A) Trump wasn’t on the ballot and B) he wasn’t facing impeachment.

I’m sure that Trump is thrilled by that fundraising take, as it’s even more money that will end up in his pockets before next November.

Rest assured that Charles Koch, the Mercers, Adelson, Foster Fries and the My Pillow Asshole will be prepared to dump hundreds of millions of dollars into the GOP to keep the Republicans in control of the Senate.
