So, I’ve been thinking about this story of the Jared Covid Response and how the White House basically decided “eh, it doesn’t matter, it’s just people in blue states dying.” This might be the best argument for eliminating the electoral college in favor of a popular vote. A president only responsive to the states he can win is a president not representing the nation as a whole.
