I think Minnesota is becoming a sort of bellwether in politics. MN liberals can be as loony as the wackiest right wing kooks, but the moderates have won in Minnesota over time. The growing presence of the religious right and the tea parties makes me think we’ll be seeing this trend grow, as the Paulians have very much tried to sink their fangs into the MN GOP, and the RR is fighting back by “adopting” them, apparently.
