“Union coal miner’s strike of 1943? Government took over the operation of the mines.”

-The government also took over the miners. Everything in your comment #487 is also true of what happened to those coal miners and their families. Ever heard of the company store? Uncle Sam took that over too. The mining companies and the union that ruled them through intimidation and fear also owned houses the miners lived in, and the land those houses sat on. Armed soldiers were placed in those towns, quitting the mines or the union was not a legal (or safe) option for the duration of the war.

“Lincoln’s civilian prison camps? If they were anything like Andersonville, then they were hell holes.”

- They were bad enough considering the era, but that isn’t the point. Everything you described in your comment #487 was also done to those American citizens (Confederate sympathizers from northern states) by Abraham Lincoln’s direct (and documented) orders. So was Lincoln a nazi? I mean after all, that is kinda what this Charles Johnson/LGF post is about, isn’t it? I thought it was about Pat Oliphant comparing Israel to nazi Germany. You seemed to be way off on this tangent where you were comparing Roosevelt to _itler, US internment camps to nazi and Imperial Japanese death camps, and you are definitely missing just how important that distinction is - to a Jew.
“Racial segregation? Pretty bad when you consider the efforts put forth by a group people who had little to gain by supporting the federal government. Roosevelt? Not anywhere near either a _itler or Stalin. Both of those guys, by that time had the blood of millions on their hands. Roosevelt was beset by issues of his policies violating the Constitution both before and during WWII. The only thing that saved him was WWII rolling around when it did and providing nearly full employment.”

- So then, US internment (concentration) camps were not anywhere near comparable to the nazi or Imperial Japanese camps? Thanks for your participation in this exercise.

“As to threats, I don’t take them lightly.”

- Then perhaps you might understand just how important this distinction is – to a Jew.

-There is another point you seem to be misunderstanding.

- Pat Oliphants cartoon isn’t offensive. It’s a warning sign. It’s a threat.
