Again, not saying anyone has to cheerlead for Beck and his over the top rhetoric, but why attack? You don’t have to listen to him, or agree. But for the greater good, if he’s driving the left and their cohorts in the media bonkers, let him.

No, McCain was not the moderate guy for the Republican Party. Rudy or Mitt were the moderate guys. You are mistaken that if you think the GOP is going to return to being a national party if the extremist positions on religion (creationism) is going to influence the vast bulk of people in the middle who decide these elections. (About 25-30% of the country is hard left, about the same is hard right, and the decisions are made by the larger group in the middle.)
