Honestly I hope Obama goes with Judge Srinivasan and dares the Senate Republicans to block someone who was universally supported three years ago and had praise form many Republican and conservative jurists. Not to mention, it would be the Republicans spitting in the face of immigrants yet again. I mean in an ideal world, I’d look for someone more progressive minded but I realize the Senate is the Senate. Not sure how Judge Nguyen, another qualified judge who is also an immigrant did in her confirmation. He’s got a lot of capable choices though and I’m confident he’ll make a good one.

It will be someone the GOP cannot reject without looking like hypocritical, arrogant, obstructionist assholes, but that is a trap they will walk into with open eyes, as those are all traits they have come to pride themselves on in the name of ideological purity.
