And at this point, wouldn’t the EU have to approve the withdrawal? Which would include a whole lot of losses for the UK and possiblitly of the EU countries saying No? I mean, talk about herding cats. It took them years to approve a single trade deal with Canada.

Is it possible that courtesy of Brexit, the Putin brigades, and the rise of nationalism the EU itself is disintegrating? That the world is reverting to the bad old days? Certainly the Trump views seemed more appropriate to the beginning of the 20th century than the beginning of the 21st century but maybe we are sliding into the past, with every country for itself — as Putin wishes.
