All kidding aside (and how can one kid about such a thing?) they did purge homosexuals with a particular ferocity from their ranks.

They purged everyone who did not fit their ideal, either political, social, or religious.

Let’s keep in mind an important fact, Hitler was a man. He was a human being—not some demon, not evil incarnate. He was flesh and bone. That means that what he and the Third Reich did was NOT an anomaly. It was not some historical aberration but another chapter in human history that goes in the volume next to Carthage, Forced Collectivization, Khmer Rouge and the Mongol Invasions, et al. I’m sure if old Genghis K had trains and modern industry, he would have dreamed up something similar.

The point is that it happened before WWII, it’s happened on smaller scales since—and it WILL happen again.
