Seeing some people propose Illinois for the first in the nation. What do you all think of that? Can’t say I have a problem. You get a little bit of every part of the Democratic base there and it provides a healthy number of delegates.

It needs to be States small enough for unknowns to do retail politicking in the lead-up. How about Maine and New Mexico? They’re a good size for that, and have the extra benefit of being swing states whose results provide actual hints to who’d be most viable in the general.
