re: #502 makeitstop

I’ve got Teles and Strats, and I’ve got both maple and rosewood necks. The maple necks tend to make the guitar sound brighter, while rosewood tends to darken the tone a bit. I use the maple necked guitars if I want the Tele ‘quack’ or ‘spank’ of the Strat (mostly for country), and the rosewood when I’m playing rock.

Again, thanks for the reply. I play my tele for rock and a more country/folk sound, but I think a lot comes from the amp (Line 6 modeling).

I love that Tele sound! Also love the jangle of the Rickenbackers, but those are pricey!
