Let’s not get carried away. He’s a HOFer in waiting; no ‘roid connections we know of; class act; putting up HOF numbers and may play long enough to go after Rose’s hit record. Having 5 rings doesn’t hurt either.

But, he’s not the best player in the game. ARod and Pujols are both superior hitters - particularly in power department. He might not even be the most dominant HOFer in waiting on his own team - that would go to Mariano Rivera.
