But that points out how amazing it is that Apollo 13 made it home. Their navigational computers were offline when they had to line up for earth and burn with no assistance.

And even if they were online, those things weren’t much better than a four-function calculator. They used old technology even for the day because it was reliable (usually - not so much in this case).
