I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: you need healthy young people on your side for a fascist coup to succeed. There is no way a revolution of Beck’s audience, 65-year-olds on Lipitor, could ever succeed.

I’m not saying that there won’t be isolated acts of violence. I’m just saying that Beck and co. can scream and yell about this all day, but the streets of this country will not be turning into Weimar Germany. Hell, the possibilities of race riots grow more remote by the day, even as the rhetoric becomes worse.
