Rubio’s only positive in the debate was that he was more polished than his last appearance, which is to say he was better prepared for regurgitating the canned talking points that his campaign staff is feeding him. He offered nothing new, he’s not really anything different from the rest of the pack, and he’s pretty much the perfect example of what the GOP is supposedly railing against, namely an amateur who has no executive experience and no idea what he’s really doing.
About the smartest thing he said Wednesday night was that he’s not running for reelection.
